Exercise Two
Expand Without Losing Yourself
Look at the sky.
The sunset spreads across the horizon — bold, unapologetic, alive. And yet it is also a transition: day shifting into night, light moving into something new. Expansion and transition coexist.
Turn inward.
Where in your life are you growing beyond your current edges?
A new role.
New visibility.
A new season.
A new truth.
Name it.
Now ask:
As I expand, what am I afraid of losing?
Stability?
Approval?
Belonging?
Control?
Pause.
Notice your body.
Does your breath tighten?
Does your belly brace?
Do your shoulders lift slightly?
Stay there.
Growth often activates the nervous system - not because it’s wrong, but because it matters.
Now soften that tension by 5%.
Not to shrink your expansion -
but to steady it.
Expansion does not require self-sacrifice.
You are allowed to grow -
while remaining rooted in yourself.
